Oxford might be a relatively small town, but the shops and restaurants in and around the historical downtown Square are no where near small when it comes to selection and service. The boutiques and restaurants have the taste of big-city style with the feel of hometown courtesy and attention.

Stores filled with gorgeous antiques, elegant furniture, trendy apparel, fun gifts, and glorious flowers line the streets of Oxford. Unlike any town it's size, the shopping ranges from Nielson's ("The South's oldest continuously running store") to the independently owned bookstore Square Books to Super Wal-mart and JCPenney's.

Obviously, the history and southern traditions are not the only attractions that keep Oxford on many people's list as one of the most unique tourist destinations.
